I am very cranky. Don’t be whining to me about missing your barbecued ribs. I don’t want to hear it.
I am not sure if this crankiness is because I just returned from a wonderful sunny family vacation. Or is it from my diet, which took a turn for the worse while on that wonderful sunny family vacation?
Did you know that your diet has a big impact on your mood? If you want to feel energetic and perky, then load up on berries, veggies, and fresh herbs.
If you want to feel relaxed and calm, then add in whole grain pastas and brown rice.
You can even affect your sleep by what you eat in the evening. You will sleep much better if you eat early. Include whole grains, broccoli, kale, dill, or mint in your dinner for better sleep.
But, if you want to feel cranky, eat a heavy meal late in the evening. Have a big steak, a loaded baked potato, and a salad doused with blue cheese dressing.
However, you should be very careful if you wake up cranky and then come in to see me and start going on about how much you love meat and potatoes.
You never know what I ate the night before. (I own many sizes of rulers!)
